Surface Pattern design
Browse the collection of ready to licence surface patterns or request a custom surface pattern designed exclusively for you.
Surface pattern design is the art of creating decorative artwork that can be strategically placed or repeated seamlessly across a surface—adding visual interest, personality, and storytelling to the objects and materials around us. These designs can be applied to a wide range of products and industries, including;
- textiles (like fashion, home décor, and upholstery)
- product packaging
- stationery
- wallpaper
- ceramics
- tech accessories
- and so much more!

Echoes of a seascape
About
These designs are shaped by sensory memories of nostalgic coastal scenes- from snorkelling through clear water, watching delicate sea fans sway in the current, to the ambience of a busy beach on a scorching summers day, scattered with colourful umbrellas.
Application
Whether used together or individually, these patterns are designed to be versatile. The collection includes a mix of hero prints and subtle coordinating blenders, with a muted cohesive palette that can be applied across a wide range of products- especially where a soft feminine touch is desired.

Request a quote
The surface patterns that appear in the library are available for licensing through a one off flat fee (unless otherwise negotiated or specified).
When requesting a quote, please make sure to include as much information as possible by following this checklist:
- A bit about you: A small intro about you, your business, your project/product, and the best way to contact you
-
Product category: What specific product/project the surface pattern would be printed on
e.g., textile apparel, wallpaper, stationery, packaging -
Region: Where the printed products will be sold, displayed
e.g., local (country), regional (continent), global -
Exclusivity: Whether your selected designs are to be licensed exclusively (you are the only one licensing the pattern) or non-exclusively (others can also licence the pattern). Exclusivity can also be based on region and product category.
e.g. you want to licence a design exclusive to the product category of children's apparel in the Gulf region. This means no other brand in the Gulf region can licence in the same product category -
Modifications: Whether you require some modifications or customisation to the pattern
e.g. you want to change the colours, scale, or adjust motifs -
Duration: The period of time you will need to license the surface pattern for (this is the time allowed for production/sales/displays/use)
e.g. the pattern is licensed for a period of two years
If you’re unsure and need to talk through things, feel free to book in a free consult and I’ll point you in the right direction 🙂
FAQ
What type of customisation is available on existing patterns?
Most patterns can be adapted to better suit your needs. This might include changes to colour palettes, scale adjustments, layout tweaks, or even swapping out specific motifs. If you have something in mind, just let me know—I’m happy to tailor the design to better fit your product or brand.
What happens when my license expires?
If your license has expired or is due to expire you have two options:
- Renew the license – A new contract will be drafted and signed. The price of the renewal will be subject to the licensor’s current pricing for surface patterns at the time of renewal. The licensor reserves the right to decline the renewal of the design.
OR - Let the license expire – The licensee may no longer apply or use the surface pattern design in any way including use on products and marketing material.. Any existing products with the surface pattern design must be sold or destroyed within a 3 month period from the date the licence expires. Any extension on this 3 month period must be negotiated with the licensor at the time of licence expiration
Who owns the artwork once I have purchased the license?
When you license a pattern, you’re purchasing the rights to use the artwork according to the terms outlined in the agreement—but the original copyright remains with me as the artist. This means you can legally and confidently use the design as specified (e.g., for packaging, textiles, etc.), while I retain ownership of the original artwork. If you’re after something exclusive, I also offer buyouts or custom design services.
What if there is a technical issue with the product?
If you experience any problems with the files (for example, resolution issues or trouble with downloads), please get in touch right away. I’ll do my best to resolve it quickly and make sure you have the correct, high-quality files in hand.
Why do I need to request access to see a full surface pattern collection?
To protect the integrity of my work and offer a curated experience, full pattern libraries are accessible by request. This helps me ensure that designs are shared responsibly, and it also allows me to guide you through the most relevant parts of the collection based on your project needs. Once access is granted, you’ll be able to browse the full range and begin selecting the patterns that resonate with your vision.
