Farrah: The Egyptian Dance Artists
Logo re-design | Promotional poster | Showcase programme | Basic animation and video editing
Farrah is a Sydney based dance collective that marked their 20th year with a celebratory anniversary show.
I had the pleasure of collaborating in the production of the show and this included the designing of:
- A special anniversary logo (including a redesign of the then current logo
- Promotional A5 flyer
- Digital advertisement collateral and social media posts
- Programme for guests of the show
- Video projections for stage transitions
- Print-on-demand online store merchandise

Original logo: The original logo was dated and had complex scroll work which made it unsuitable for its intended use
Re-design: Kept the original structure but simplified the crown for a much cleaner look
Anniversary logo: Incorporated the colourful, playful and joyous nature of the Egyptian dances presented by Farrah.
Inspiration for the show flyer and promotional material was drawn directly from Farrah’s wardrobe with their costumes reflected on the characters depicted in the logo, social media and advertising collateral.
Additionally a print-on-demand shop was created where show cast and crew could purchase various styles and colours of t-shirts with the special anniversary logo.

Between each dance a short animated video was projected onto the back of the stage to help the audience understand the transition between the different regions of Egypt. An image of a historical hunting map (found at the Prince Mohamed Ali Palace in Cairo) was overlayed with a combination of frame by frame animations and video editing to add text and stock photography.
The photographs on this page were captured by Phillip Maenpaa and commissioned by Farrah: The Egyptian Dance Artists
